On 23 November 2007 the 16 th Forum Energy Days was held in Zagreb under the sponsorship of the President of the Republic of Croatia. The Forum gathered a number of prominent experts in the energy field from Croatia and world over.
The main topic of this year Forum was Energy future in the light of relations and integration processes in Europe.
150 participants were registered at the Forum. Presentations included 12 papers and the book of late professor Ivo Kolin.
Together with the President of the Republic, other sponsors of the 16 th Forum were Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship, Croatian Academy of Engineering, and Croatian Chamber of Economy.


The 16 th Forum discusses the following topics:
- Possible scenarios of political, economic and energy relations development
- Technological development in energy production, transmissions, distribution and consumption
- Renewable energy sources and energy efficiency and scientific, technological, organizational and economic challenges
- Climate change and reduction of greenhouse gases emissions; objectives, possibilities and effects
- Reform of the energy sector in the light of institutional, legislative, organizational and ownership requests and changes in the EU member states, Energy Community members, Russia, and other countries
- Relations between EU and Russia in the context of politics, interests and possible solutions
